Richard finally seems to be adjusting to the thought of a little brother or sister. He even volunteered half of his room for the baby, though I told him the actual baby will be sleeping with us. Unfortunately, he seems intent on the baby being male and says I have to make sure he has a little brother.

Anybody know how to tell a little boy there is no way to control the gender of a baby?

I would like to say congratulations to all who have children, just had children, or are going to have children!

Speaking of wonderful children, Richard is going to grow up to be a star football player. For the past few days I've been playing with him in the backyard and this Saturday some of his play friends are coming over. The fathers are big fans of the sport themselves.
